Not dinner but me and a buddy went white perch fishing at the Mullica river yesterday and I made lunch. Cheese burgers, pickles and beans. The lunch was better than the fishing as we only caught 7 perch.
Ok I googled the gravy , how did you mix ramps in it?Waffle Wednesday climbing to new heights on this stormy evening. Chicken and waffles.
Mashed potato waffles (leftover mashed yukon golds, chopped bacon, minced scallions, sharp cheddar, eggs, and whatever else goes in waffle batter), extra crispy chicken tenders all drowned with ramp/chanterelle gravy. Tito came along for the ride.

That is ramp gravy with finely chopped canned Chanterelles in it. I use fresh ramps when I have them, ramp pesto when I don’t. Fresh is always best, but ramps are only around for a month or so. Frozen pesto is very handy.Ok I googled the gravy , how did you mix ramps in it?

Nice, did you put the whole grain mustard in the bacon wrapped asparagus?One of my buddies owns a local diner and he just opened a bakery and butcher shop. I stopped for steaks and a loaf of fresh sourdough yesterday. I nailed the cook on this plate of food and would have been proud to serve it to anyone, especially my family. My mom and dad enjoyed this early Easter dinner with us.
