Going to go check camera again as I think bear moved it again... Making up some hot pepper paste, fix him if he plays with it again... Yesterday hiked in to one of my main bear spots and put up a camera to see what's around so the boys can see what is around if they ever make it out here... If not I'm getting some Intel for latter in the year...

Lucked out bear only pulled camera down... Amazing as it took some force as I tightened wing nuts with a pair of pliers and he didn't break antenna... I just pulled camera as deer I am interested in is who knows where, I'll put it back there in Aug...

Dan.... I'm a firm believer that both deer and bears notice the flash on low glow cameras... Esp. animals that are in areas that are secluded and no distant lights are present... I know their not smelling my scent on the camera, because knowing the amount of bears in the areas I hunt I handle the cameras with gloves on.... All cameras I purchase from here out will be black flash....

A camera manufacturer once told me that bears smell the fish oils used in the manufacturing process of the camera case. I have no idea if that is correct but bears do seem to find cameras with no difficulty.
Brock it is a possibility... But they definately mess with them...

Bears are starting to get more active as breeding season is here....Neighborhood dogs were barking up a storm last night around 2 am , so I guess one was up and about looking for a garbage can to get into.... I believe the guys are comming out in early June to scout, so maybe we'll see one or two....

Looks like the second pic is the same bear to me. Both have a nice halo around the mouth. I always thought that was cool and would make a good mount. Be extra cool if he has the chest diamond. I like that too.

Definately different bears... Distance between two pics is minimal .... Would be possible if distance was greater then the one would not look larger... As for Chevron on bears chests I get a couple nice ones every year... This bear should be very nice this year....

Went to work on a swimming pool today and guys yard backs up to an area I have a permit to hunt... Jon and Dan will also be purchasing a permit to hunt this land... So before I even look at the pool my wheels are turning and I ask if he ever sees any bears...You hunt he says??? Then come shoot the big SOB that tore my shed door off... Ok, wish it was that easy as come fall he could've miles away... Although he said he's been in his yard several times this spring... I'll have to put some cameras out behind his yard... He also has a sow with cubs that he sees... I told him that they were off limits...
Here's the Big Guy then the sow with cubs...Like I said before, it's going to get very interesting come Oct....
