If you added a bike, would you wake up and do it before work? How much cardio would it actually add?
I don't do shit before work besides sleep, so no, it won't change my morning routine. That said, anything that gets me moving more (and more often) will burn calories and that's what I need to do more often. Plus, it'll strengthen my legs, which is good for walking come deer season.

Gotcha. I'm thinking about adding something, but I know for a fact that I won't do it when I get home. I'm just out of go by that time. So I'm thinking it would have to be before work.

I loved running first thing in the morning….. It’s cooler, less distractions, got my mind ready for the day…. It sucks at first, but down the road it was my favorite time of the day….
Now I wake up, drink a cup of coffee and grab Bristol and go for a walk….

Down 5.5, which is a lackluster performance, but it's progress. July 4th weekend was big setback thanks to a 4 day bender. Been stressing eating a bit, too. Overall, things are trending in the right direction. I have my 🤞 that there might be a little extra $ coming my way soon and if so, I'm pulling the trigger on a bike. If not, I found my dad's old aluminum framed backpack and cleaned it up to start walking with 50#s on my back. In the meantime, there's plenty of physical labor involved in maintaining 2 properties, so I'm working hard every evening on a project or maintenance of some sort. Plenty of sweating to be done in the heat and humidity!

Father's day gift was a Garmin Instinct watch. Fucker is loaded with data, but this little fella seems spot on for battery level, except the stress. That's reinforced when comparing the stress specific results, which is accurate. Weird mix of results, so I'll just look at each individually.

An overall gage of how worn out I feel & so far after 2 days, with decent differences in levels, feels pretty accurate. I'm intrigued what the next 30 days hold.

Stress is that one thing I couldn't measure that can definitely impact BP. I'm still on the lowest dose, but hopefully with a little healthier living and this info, I can drop that 1 and only script.

I told her I wanted one for my birthday. Is this concerning?

Nope! It'll go down if/when ya sit down and get in rest mode. I've noticed that anytime I have alcohol in my system, it's always registering as stressed.....lol, little fucker🤨I could laying down in bed drinking a beer out of a straw and it measures it as stress based on heart rate and such.

Recovery/rest sleep after a night of drinking never recharges my battery. Overall I'd say the thing is pretty damn accurate, and the truth hurts lol. It's doing its job, no we have to do ours lol. Here is a typical day after not drinking, note the blue while out. I was off this day, but was outside working.

This is exactly why I stopped drinking bourbon…. Heart rate and breath rate always was elevated throughout the night while sleeping….

After this weekends activities, and continually getting made fun of for being built like Fat Albert, Im finally making a move to start holding myself accountable. Everyone knows I like to keep track of things, How many days until Strouds, How long its been since my last chew etc. So maybe setting small daily goals is something I can do. That being said, after the discussion about the smart watches, that looks like its the start me bringing sexy back. I heard Garmin was discussed so I started looking at asking questions. Looks like my wife ordered me the Garmin Instinct 2 for a birthday "surprise".

Start small and go from there. I love food. Any and all food, except for the man bun tree bark nuts and foliage bullshit. Trying to cut qty has been an issue, and obviously hasnt worked, so maybe exercise will help. I struggle with Physical activity anymore and get winded very very easy. Im not one to hit a gym or just get up and go run for 13 miles for fun. I dont mind being husky, I was happy being at the 240 # mark, but this shit now is embarrassing. I am already prediabetic and would like to see my A1C go the other direction. I told myself that once I got the pup he and I would go for walks, well that hasnt happened. Lets see how I can do at this, and use you guys for a little motivation.

You found your "why", now it's time to action against it every day, no matter how little it may be. You got this sweet daddy!

Honestly I usually only drink 2 days a week. Sometimes 3. I'm going to attempt to put a cap on the # of beers on those days.
