Luckily its not raining here yet but I do have my rain gear on. I think its going to be a good night.
Last night was a bust. My Kestrel came by to visit me again. He is big for a kestrel but it is neat watching him fly so fast through the branches. I thought for sure I was going to see something but it was a no go. I hunted what I am going to refer as the trash pile.

Man, I told my wife that since I have a schedule that is forgiving for me this time of year that I'll try not to hunt Sundays. Contemplated going out this morning but the weatherman said 20mph winds...

Gotta laugh at myself. Forgot my boots (washed them) turned around after almost getting to the farm. Crap, forgot my arrows (took the quiver off the bow to put on the ST's and left it in the house) bow was aoready in my truck to shoot them in.
Well it is 4:30 so I am just going to hit the obesrvation stand...ugh. Noobs.... lol

Sunday morning got to property, smoked myself and gear, made sure truck was locked, picked up the bow and started walking to the woods, got about 30 steps thinking "I'm feeling kinda light..." turned around back to truck and got my backpack...DOH!
That's why I run a mental checklist for everything I need before I leave the truck... And I'll be damned if I still don't forget something rotflmao Too much stuff too think about :smiley_clap:

Had a slickhead under me for the last hour. Just got out of the stand. Drew on her 6 times and couldn't see enough to feel real comfortable. She got a pass. I have to find my grunt tube, bleat call, hanger, and wind checker because I kept throwing stuff at her trying to get her to leave.

This dude keeps getting closer and closer to me. I think I am gonna "pull the trigger" if given the opportunity. I know he is at least 4.5 as I have 2 years worth of sheds.
