I could use help with a small food plot that you can’t get Equiptment to….just a small lawnmower, leaf blower and no till stuff but it’s not doing real well. First couple months it’s green and attracts deer and turkeys but by hunting season it’s mostly weeds. I’m positive there’s something I should be doing to make it a great small plot but I just don’t have the experience. I’m sure there are plenty of Too’zers here that would also benefit from any advise you could give.

Thanks for the tips…I’m doing most of the stuff you suggested but there are a couple I’m going to add (like a better quality seed). I think my problem is one thing you mentioned that I didn’t think of…the bastard deer are eating it all and leaving only the less desirable stuff. I’m going to put up a small ring of fence to see just how bad.

you bet! That happens often! Even on large fields!! Be sure of the seeds your planting. Stay away from rye grass. Non cleaned seed. Etc. Cheap seed often ain’t good and good seed often isn’t cheap.

Managing farms below carrying capacity….
