Well we got the last set of traps out of the sound. Headed back in to off load and head to the house to button up any loose ends. Haven’t gotten a recent update yet. Think we gonna be ok, I just have some PTSD from hurricane Katrina. Went from having everything one day to not having anything the next.I mean not a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. I can’t explain the feelings I have. I’ve seen rock bottom and somehow managed to rebound. I don't live on the water anymore so that’s a blessing. I will report to keep yall updated. Say a prayer for us down here.

Well lucky me and Joe. Shifted 50 miles east last night. Something tells me we gonna be on the eye wall. Good news is they not calling for a cat2.

Well so far we are good and don’t expect anything bad happening. Looks like the storms path will pass west of Joe and my location and will pass west of my property up north. Still a strong cat 1. The worst of all this will come at dark through the morning.

Fixing to get shitty. Getting some strong feeder bands and had rain. Looks like the eye may just miss us which isn’t the best. I don’t know what the wind is doing cause I’m not going outside. It’s dark now. Made landfall as a cat 2, the land should scrub it down the longer it’s over land.

For those of you that never experienced a hurricane, it’s like a giant tornado w tons of rain and feeder bands for hours. W small tornadoes inside the storm outside the eye. We do know it’s coming unlike most tornadoes. No basements here as the water table is nearly couple feet under ground.

Think we gonna make it. Got the worst of it now till a couple more hours. Surprised we still have power. Thanks everyone for the prayers, text and post. I will report in the morning after I do a survey. On a good note, I could duck hunt from the front porch

Well woke up to no power. Cut the house gen on and ran for 20 minutes and shut off. Something ain’t right, think I have a water leak in the coolant. Will wait for it to cool down before I check it out. Other than that, all is good that I can tell for now . Winding is blowing out of the sw now at a good clip. I’m sure the low lying areas are getting flooded w all the water trying to push out the lake.

Only seen 4 teal so far and 2 stayed. Hurricane blew them out or they not here yet. Still hunting its quarter to 7.

Didn’t see another teal. But did run into green jeans. They were writing a ticket to another group of hunters. I was all good.
