Track #2 was depressing at first. Hunter called and said his Dad was worried about rain and was going in to "go look around". I advised him to stay out... but there was tire marks in the path (it rained this morning). When I got to the meeting sight. No blood anywhere at hit sight. No blood in 100 yd cut beans. (Maxx is just walking around). Got to thicket and let him check 3 deer trails. On 3rd one, Maxx checked it twice and locked in... about another 100 yds and buck was in its 3rd bed in a 5 yd area. Shot up the ass and into the guts. First 180 yds was 0 blood!

Had a track for a 9 yr old girls first deer ever... prick landowner denied a dog on his property tonight... I heard he's a Dr. Bitch prolly has a Harris sign in his yd....

Just found out deer was bedded near the line of next property (past dicks place). We have permission for next one. Waiting on his answer, but I say try it!
Well....Maxx got a handfull of leaves w/blood to get started. Then my hunter got turned around and we ended up at the last bed. The trail left the bed and went straight down a scrapeline of at least 5 scrapes. Restarted Maxx and he took the same trail. Told the little girl to get back in there cause Maxx likes Big Deer!
She came to the truck, hugged "Maxxy" told him she loved him and promised him a Bigger deer... thats when I had to leave.

Last track started at 11 pm. On the way there, I was told a drone was coming also. Once there, I had to observe the drone in action first. After they admitted the leaves were a factor (to me alone), plus they were 0-3 for the day, and the hunter leaving us to go talk with his friend who pulled in....
I walked to my truck and went home. Hunter text and wanted me to come out mid day today...... I didn't even answer. He doesn't have enough money to get me back out there. Vermont Hunter...

Todays track was cancelled before I could leave. Shot very high and back on cam in 11 hrs.... NEVER SAY NEVER!

Vermont guy just messaged me again for Maxx to track... He blocked now.
First track Monday had ran out of blood. Started Maxx and he was very meticulous for about 80-100 yds. Came upon a bed w/blood and Maxx shifted gears fast. 50 yds later.... tail gone!

2nd track was crazy! Was asked to track a deer w/hunters wife since he was at work. (We gonna learn today) He got us to last blood and Maxx took over! Gotta say I was getting worried until Maxx showed us blood at 1300 yds from impact! Ms Dana was impressed! Maxx went up a 60° hill about 40 yds long (We were helping each other up!) And Ms Dana hung right there w/us! At the top she was convinced the deer will be fine.

3rd track is alive. Maxx covered the whole (marked) blood trail like a pro. After the bed, Maxx seemed to be slowing way down and head coming up... but still moving. Hubby says this deers alive~~he's going back to the blind/corn pile area from opposite way. And he had not replaced the camera chip on her cam.
We all backed out so Mom can hunt Friday.
We all agreed the trail/pattern had turned into a random walk about looking for girls.

I got to meet Rick and Max today and I feel like I have 2 new friends.
I shot a deer last and the angle was really steep, I shoot lighted knocks so I could see the arrow really well. It looked like a high hit with maybe half the arrow sticking out. I decided that I had one lung so I walked out and messaged Rick.
Rick and Max came over this morning and we hit the track. Right away Max took off and Rick pointed out blood.
Max went 5 or 6 hundred yards with me wondering if he was on the deer. But let me tell you he was on the deer. Every 40 or 50 yards I would see blood. It is amazing as fast as I could walk we were covering ground.
We eventually ended up in a thicket that had me crawling, and I don’t craw well!!! Some where in the thicket Rick found the arrow. The feathers matted in blood.
We needed to go on another property and Rick, Max and I met one of my neighbors. He gave us his blessing and we exchanged numbers so I have access in the future.
Long story I know and we didn’t recover the deer. But I made new friends and I believe we made every effort possible to recover the deer.

Yes, Friendships were made today. Abolutely love the tracks for real hunters. TOO people just naturally do whats best for what they're dealt at that time.

Tuesday we did one at Dillon Wildlife area. 1.5 miles of pure hell. Seen a pic of a 160" 8 pt. Seen blood at 1.25 miles from truck... Maxx lost interest eventually and we called it alive.
Got home, ate and phone rang. Friends son shot an 8 pt (125ish). No blood for 40 yds. Then amount started climbing. Then it started tapering off fast. Thats when he said he aimed straight at front leg. Out of woods, deer ran about 500 yds w/a blood spot finally @ 400 mark. Plenty of bedding and never went in. Maxx finally lost interest.
Did I ever mention get away from the shoulder?
