    Hit the morel jackpot this morning!!! They went extremely well with marinated shrimp, scallops, and homeade garlic bread on the flat top. Side salad and homeade tarter sauce really set it all off.

    After we cooked a mess at the campground i brought home 122lbs of trimmed and ready to eat fillets. Cooked about 20lbs or so at church Friday night for our good Friday service. Still got a few fish fries in the freezer! We put back about half of what we caught.

    That's understandable for sure. These come out of a fairly clean water system. Water gets stains at times but its always moving down there.

    Yes sir, we eat them all the time. Coons just can't get them open is all. Gar have beautiful boneless back straps that are very good. It frys up very similar to alligator tail.

    Caught a whole ribeye on sale for $6.99 lb. Cut us one thick ones and had them in the cast iron last night. Baked potato and fresh baked bread to go with. Very good!

    100% on this run! We went 30 for 30 on some eggs that I traded milk for. Barnyard mix of good brown and blue legg layers. Time to load the incubator back up.

    Homegrown pork shank, pintos, turnip greens, cornbread made with fresh buttermilk, and fresh butter. Ice cream with fresh milk for dessert as well!!

    We use a feed mill. Cattle feed comes from one and we get chicken from another.
