Lake effect snow is the worst. Always heavy and usually a lot comes down. When the lake freezes it helps, but the open water creates a real snow making machine.

Dang, I'd be dead if I got shot it that spot TOO.

Not for me. I know a guy that killed a buck at 96 yards back in the 70's with a Jennings compound. It wasn't skillful, just luck that the arrow hit the right spot. I still like my shots at 20 yards or less. 25 yards would be stretching it for me.
