Relief. Even though I was mostly positive it was miss with no hair or blood, no sound of it, and tail in the air running away, confirmation is good. Took 36 hours and he's back.

LoL had to go searching for the page 1 to go with pagggee 2 above^.

I was legit rattled and let it compromise my decision making. That gun hasn't missed a deer in the 16 years I've had it and I haven't missed a deer with a gun in 17 years. Terrible.

Similar about 2017 stalk hunting Eglin AFB for 2 days and a nice buck at 80yards feeding on acrons, jerked the muzzy trigger missed by 3-4'.. that sucks man but that clean miss is so much better. Get him before he sheds! Great story to follow knowing that the end is not written yet.
