Lucky 13



10 year old brother on 1st hunt ever.



Saw a few in the morning and nearly got a shot off... Had a good day, saw around 10 or so... Think he's hooked! Hope so!

Congrats. Start them young and correct and they are hooked for life. At least my grandsons are. Now my granddaughter who is 12 says she's not the woodsie type. But I think she will come around and maybe for turkey season next year.

Throw the youth bonus point in there for Team 14 "Nocked and Loaded". I don't have any pictures of Garrett in the stand because he ended up getting sick and I took him home early. I have pictures of the prep leading up to the hunt and there is a commentary of how the hunt unfolded in my Journal. If it doesn't count without a picture of him in the stand then nevermind. I will have him out again before the season is over. Chalk up the points later. He is bugging to get back out already. Garrett is 8yrs old now.

Here are some of the prep work: Scent Smoker, scent free shower, and Little Hotties for his boots. Just bummed he couldn't stick around for more than 1.5hrs. He saw a small buck chasing a young doe around then his stomach started doing cartwheels. I headed back out and saw 6 more that day after dropping him at home. We were both bummed he couldn't see it.

Thanks J. TOO many gun shots and TOO many barking dogs, lol. I'm pretty sure every gun hunter sighted in within a 10 mile radius.
 
Great job to all those who have found success and taken youth out. Keep the deer coming. I will get the leaderboard updated tonight.
