2019-nCoV (Coronavirus)

Yet they mention nothing where study after study has shown that natural immunity is more durable and proficient.

" Pfizer -- and other researchers -- say their studies show people develop strong immunity after two doses of vaccine, but that levels of antibodies start to drop after a few months."
*Steve puts on his mol-bio-geek hat*
Yep. Its almost always better to survive a natural infection than it is to rely on vaccination. I don't really understand the consternation around the Pfizer quote though. Of course antibody levels fall after a few months. Most all circulating antibodies have a half life of 30 days or so. What would worry me is if concentrations of memory T and B cells dropped after a few months. Those things are what trigger our adaptive immune response and have a half life of 450 days or so.

Why isn't anyone talking about this....turn on or read any liberal media and all you hear are hospitals are at max capacity. Under Trump...he created field hospitals, had Red Cross ships at the ready, auto makers were making ventilators etc etc. What has Biden done?....point the finger. It's on them as far as I'm concerned. Stop your bitching and act.

because it doesn't fit the narrative. they have to milk these seasonal outbreaks for all they are worth because the Delta variant is going to go away as fast as it came on. the continual dissemination of exaggerated, misleading, and untrue information about covid infections is staggering. all of it heavily negative and meant to scare people. no other explanation for why the powers that be completely ignore the relevance of natural and herd immunity in all of this. it is sad and sickening, and I don't pay much attention to any of it any longer. I'm not going to comply no matter what these lunatics proclaim, so, most of this is totally irrelevant to me personally. the less I listen to all the BS, the happier I am.

Exactly. But the conservative media need to make my point about the contrast between Trump and Biden on how this "crisis" is being handled.

Because there finally admitting what studies have been showing for a long time. The vaccine isn't nearly as durable as they hoped. Their mantra up to this point has always been "it's too early to tell, we'll have to see". But now I'm sure they want the profit from that booster so they're willing to admit it doesn't last that long. Study after study has shown that natural immunity provides a better and more durable immunity than the vaccine. Their battle cry of " trust the science" is finally catching up to them.and getting harder and harder to hide.

Haven't heard "we need herd immunity" much lately. Just an observation.
Thinking the same! I had a nurse say that she’s never heard of natural immunity as she was taking my vitals and waiting on our rapid test results back in mid August. That was kinda scary to hear coming from a medical professional! Lol
