2019-nCoV (Coronavirus)

"“We must devise strategies that anticipate the evolutional direction of the virus and develop agents that target better conserved viral elements.”

Aka a program similar to the flu shot where we anticipate mutations and develop a vaccine for it, only this would likely be 2-3 times a year.

My daughter-in-law tested positive Wednesday, all the wife’s extended family was her on a family trip this past weekend. We all tested negative, my son, her husband, tested positive yesterday. His was rapid test and it came back positive, he had covid in August, so he getting the regular test done Saturday, seems odd that he would get it again so soon.

My immediate family is back to normal. My taste and smell are about 75% back, subtle flavors and scents are what I'm lacking. My parents tested positive and were down for a bit, my Mom took a week or so to get her strength back. My in laws had it, took a week or so for my mother in law to get back to normal, my father in law is on about week 3 of feeling weak as a kitten.

Everyone who got it since Halloween was vaccinated.

Did your family also receive the booster shot? Hope you are over this soon

Yet people still wonder why I don’t trust the government.

I think most people who are capable of thinking for themselves can see that something fucky has been going on. So now that the FDA has officially said they do not recomend the J&J vaccine because of serious medical complications does that make them some trumptard anti-vaxxer like the rest of us were accused of being 8 months ago when we made the same assessment.

Sorry to hear Ben. Out of curiosity when you get a chance what were the average ages and overall health of the people? And how many of them had been vaccinated? Data from real people holds alot more weight than the media.

Both my dad and his wife are on the uphill climb after about six days of “feeling like i don’t want to move”. Heavy drinker, 56 Y/O but very athletic for my father. His wife, 54, not in the best athletic state, high BUT manageable BP and has had a kidney infection since early December. Dad says it’s just like a flu bug. Heavy dry cough, no loss of senses, headaches and tiredness. Both tested positive November 30th.

I tested positive last weekend. Lost my taste and smell Wednesday and it has yet to come back. I felt pretty crappy for a few days I split some wood one day and checked some cams and felt like crap after that but I couldn't just lay around any longer. The cough was the worst part for me. I was gonna work a few days at the end of the week because I could have worked by myself but I didn't chance It with feeling bad or passing it to someone that I passed by during the day.
