2019-nCoV (Coronavirus)

I think I picked 'rona up driving from OH to TN to FL last weekend... started feeling puny Tuesday at which point I started the 5-6 day omicron isolation which wasn't hard, Mrs was on a business trip and we're empty nesters. My oral temp yesterday was 101.4, today just below 100.

The question is, I see all the "go get tested!" stuff but why? - Am I missing something?

Sure If you present symptomatology that requires hospitalization or more in depth treatment they need to be specific to the cause but right now doing the C and D3 plus zinc, and the standard Military "Doc" treatment, - hydrate and "ranger candy" 800mg Motrin.

So far no confusion, blue lips, or other O2 related issues. This AM I transplanted 5 little 2' magnolias b4 a big rain forecasted for later today and that about wiped me out. I.e., fatigue which is a standard covid symptom. Doing my deep breathing like a put on Giles post but other than that just rolling with it and no "plan" to get tested.

Our family just dealt with this and we only tested my oldest daughter and did so here at home. She was first to present symptoms, so my wife brought home a test so we knew what we were dealing with since she's 38-39 weeks pregnant. We all caught it, but that's the only testing we did. Our rule all along has been no testing unless medical treatment is needed. If my wife wasn't so pregnant, we wouldn't have tested Kaydence, but she felt like she needed to know.

With a prego Mrs - I get that, makes perfect sense, actually pregnancy is listed on the covid Comorbidities:

  • Cancer
  • Cerebrovascular disease
  • Children with certain underlying conditions¶
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Chronic lung disease (COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis)
  • Chronic liver disease (cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, autoimmune hepatitis)
  • Diabetes mellitus, type 1 and type 2
  • Down syndrome
  • Heart conditions (such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies)
  • HIV
  • Mental health disorders (mood disorders including depression, schizophrenia spectrum disorders)
  • Neurologic conditions, including dementia
  • Obesity (BMI ≥30 kg/m2) and overweight (BMI 25 to 29 kg/m2)
  • Pregnancy or recent pregnancy
  • Smoking (current and former)
  • Sickle cell disease or thalassemia
  • Solid organ or blood stem cell transplantation
  • Substance use disorders
  • Tuberculosis
  • Use of corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive medications

Covid ? Are people that are getting vid the 2 or 3rd time around losing taste and smell again? My senses suck bad since having it a year ago still. anyway just wondering?

After all the vaccines I listed above, I have never seen a vaccine like this one, which discriminates, divides and judges society as it is. And as the social fabric tightens… It's a powerful vaccine! She does all these things except IMMUNIZATION. If we still need a booster dose after we are fully vaccinated, and we still need to get a negative test after we are fully vaccinated, and we still need to wear a mask after we are fully vaccinated, and still be hospitalized after we have been fully vaccinated, it will likely come to “It's time for us to admit that we've been completely deceived."

Did a tele-visit with my mom’s dr today, he wants to get her checked for pneumonia, the only way to do that is to go to the ER, we both took covid tests yesterday and they were negative. Transported her by ambulance because she is weak and I didn’t want us dropping her trying to transfer her to the car. Got to the ER, guy that took my info said it was a 19 hour wait.

I have to wait in the car, there has to be a better way. Now she gets to sit around people that are known to be covid positive.

I had to go back in because I couldn't keep my oxygen level up and was in the same boat. I pretty much lost my shit completely. Wife ended up walking away thinking I was going to jail. I was ready to end some lives that day. Bad place to be mentally.

Hell…my mom fell BEFORE the pandemic and had to have stitches and checked for a concussion….was in the ER 8 hours. The system is broken by a bunch of fuck ups who treat the ER like their free personal physician cause they can’t pay and won’t be turned away.
