I'm not sure I've hunted in the past 30 days where a flock of black birds hasn't flown over me. It's insane.

Out with my daughter in the new Banks Stump blind that was purchased for this purpose. If we get lucky it will be an expensive deer but the memory will be priceless.

Just passed on a small 10, until i pulled binos we both thought it was an 8; so about the same size as his one last year. I told him they're aren't many bigger and he's okay with it.
On a side note, paid no attention to my grunts, did pause when i "mewed" while Cooper was contemplating his thoughts.

No deer yet gonna sit til 9 wind is getting up and we picked the wrong blind. Got pics of a good 8 with some does we planned on being there tonight, I know the does will be there tonight just not sure about the buck. Have only heard 3 shots.
We've seen 5 so far she passed on a 4 point with no brow tines. Had a nice doe in range right off the bat but hate to break the silence at daylight for a doe.

Hit public woods this morning, very crunchy cold walk in. Saw 2 does let pass he’s holding out for a buck
Told him ya can’t eat antlers… only hunted till 9. Going into work late today. Heard 8 shots total.
Just saw a HUGE 8 or bigger come through. Was following with a small doe and never slowed down enough to give a good opportunity to assess and or line up a shot. (Cooper noisily bringing the gun to bear in the blind didn't help)
We saw 4 does earlier. Heading in to warm up and back at it this evening.
Saw a doe at 100 yards, got to talk about ballistics,, trajectory, npoa, all sorts of applicable stuff
We gave up. Gotta go to a wedding this afternoon. Ughhhh. Back at it tomorrow. Its unbelievably cold and windy here in NW part of state today.
Kudos to y’all braving the cold. I bout froze out/got blown away walking from the car in to the bar. Guess I better stay a while

We see a a nice buck pushing a doe, Out of range and in thick . Then had a doe and yearling at 45yds and he decided to them walk. In eating now . Will be heading back for the evening.
Refilled a propane tank and taking a big heater to the stand today for tomorrow . wind is kickin.
Absolutely nothing moving. Didn't even pass any trucks with orange in them. We are back at the house now and will likely wait till the last hour, hour and half to slip into the woods. Be apples to our left about 100 yards and corn to our right about 150 yards. They gonna be hungry but so are we
We're in, he's got homework and meet the team for basketball tonight so i don't think we'll make the evening sit. Tomorrow's up in the air, the daughter has softball.
