Birds, and presumably deer, eat them as fast they get ripe at my place. I was hoping to get enough on Wednesday to make a cobble, but only unripe ones to be found. I'd really have to fight for them to get enough freeze or make jelly.

I read somewhere that birds don't like mint. Supposedly, If you spray your berry bushes with a mint/water solution it will at least give you a chance to harvest some. Then rinse the mint off and use normally. Of course that could just be bullshit. Ive never tried it. I have a hard enough time finding berry bushes to begin with. lol.
