Jeremiah Smith is next level talent at 17-18yrs old. Wow!

First half looked blah. Felt like we were dominating but only 7-0 at the half.

Announcers mentioning Cade MacNamara "has already beaten the Buckeyes once as UM QB." Heard it more than once. Iowa RB talked smack before the game from what I hear. Called out OSU defense. Other than his last run of 28yds. . . They have shut him down. I think they said he was the second ranked RB in the nation? Second in yards? Yards per carry? Don't remember.

Second half is feeling a lot nicer than the first half "so far." As Alabama found out last week, the game isn't over until it's over. Plenty of time for Iowa to fight back. I don't think they will, but it could happen. 😁

Sabanless Bama is about to take an L to Vandy for the forst time in 40 years. I think they know all too well. 😅😅

The defense getting takeaways is a big difference this year! Sawyer said he wanted the defense to help the offense more this year and the D was the difference maker in the second half tonight. They are much improved when it comes to ripping the ball out and the D-line is one of the best in the country, especially our ends. We still have room for improvement in the secondary and this whole starting slow thing needs to get cured, but it's a good start. Next weekend will be telling!

I forget the exact stats they offered in the post game shows. Second half scoring was OSU 100+ versus something like 10 points by opponents. I feel like they've been backing off the throttle in the second half. Lots of second and third string playing time. NOT a complaint. That is invaluable playing time. You never know when you will need the next man up.

Another sloppy start. And for whatever reason, we're not running the ball with our backs. I don't like this at all.
I was wondering the same. Glad they reeled off a couple back to back big run plays after you typed it. 😁

Need to score a TD here and get a good defensive stop. Settle down. Take their crowd out of the equation.

I just said it in a group text, but we're so underwhelming for all the hype we get. Day's future is on full display right now. Oregon beating us with 2 guys on O and 1 on D.

Lots to clean up/tighten up.

Denzel Burke better change his name to Denzel Burnt. Our secondary has been sedentary.

Our running game has helped us once they finally decided to use it.

We need to grind out drives like this the entire second half and our defense needs to just play solid. Avoid the big plays. Get consistent stops. We don't need fancy. We need smash mouth football and wear them down. Getting away with a hold here and there would be okay too. Might have seen one in that drive. Lol

Freaking pathetic

calling an offensive pass interference there is insane! However, Ryan day has to go. Way too many mistakes for a team that is supposed to be a top team in the country.

Can't go to Oregon and play like that. Burnt on deep balls. Missed tackles. Poor time management. Oregon is a good team. I don't know if they are a National Championship level team, but I guess we are going to find out. Buckeyes going to drop to 7-8th if not lower. Maybe it is just what they needed. Now they can play with a chip on their shoulder the rest of the season. All the players who came back for a Natty? Guess we will see how bad they want it.
