I shot Cardinal's 3D range a couple times early this afternoon. My first round of 3D for the year... To say I was a bit rusty would certainly be an understatement. :smiley_depressive: Although I didn't lose any arrows, I managed a 205 and a 203 out of a possible 253 (only shot 23 targets). Shooting-wise I was actually feeling good, but my yardage estimation left a lot to be desired. Pretty much every one of my shots outside the 10-ring were either high or low. For the first time in my archery "career," I have my pins set to something other than 20-30-40-50. Right now I have them at 26-35-50. I'm really digging the 26 pin because it's damn near flat from 10 to 26 yards. But that second pin was really giving me fits today. I struggled hitting high on a lot of 28-33 yarders and hitting low on the 40+ yarders. I think I'm going to have to experiment with that a bit more to see if it works for me or not.
Beener, what the hell is that animal at like the 6th or 7th target? The one that is dark on its back and white on its belly. That damn thing really tricked me on both rounds. From the stake, it looks so far away... when really it's only around 30 yds I think. I shot right over its back on the second round... Lucky for me, this small tree was kind enough to catch my arrow for me.
Eat your heart out, Wayne! lmao
As usual, the tough-as-nails Easton Flatline comes out completely unscathed...
