44 Mag. Whitetail Bullet Chioces

Well, I changed powders...from Accurate #9, that was producing 3" groups at 25 yards, to 2400 that's producing 1" groups at 25 yards. I'm glad I switched powders, as this type of accuracy was what I'm looking for, in a hunting load. I'm still shooting the same hard cast 240gr. SWC bullet. Now I'm ready for the Deer Gun Season! :smiley_bril: I might go as far as to carry this for close range shots on coyotes. :smiley_chinrub:

After getting my Ruger Super Redhawk sighted in, I put out a 2 liter bottle of water, stepped back quite a ways and took one shot. First shot, the bottle busted...at 57 yards. I'm very impressed with this handguns' accuracy.

Digging this back up. Have a quick question for those of you with more experience with the 44 than myself. I dont mind going out an buying more soft points if need be but I have 100 rounds of s&b semi jacketed hollow points in the safe not being used an wondered if they'd preform well enough to 75 yards out of my super Blackhawk. 90 percent of my shots wouldn't be over 45 yards but just in case id rather know. Thanks in advance fellas .

Not sure about a pistol but Hornady lever revolution do a great job out of my rifle
Those are the ftx hollows if i remember right. You have the velocity out of your rifle for sure but im unsure of a semi jacket out of my revolver. In my head I think they'll work just fine but figured id see if anyone else has tried it before. Thanks for your input!
