Wife is happy. She got her hot rod. I won't lie, I'm plenty happy too. Settled on this 62 Nova. Not sure "settling" is the right word. We liked a lot of the cars we have checked out the last few years. This one fit the bill. Bit over budget, but we have something we can jump in and enjoy. We could have saved a few grand buying something needing body work. In the end, body work would have cost another $5-10,000. I believe we are money ahead buying one somebody else spent the money to restore.

1962 Chevy Nova. 350 v8 is stock with an Edelbrock intake and dual exhaust. Has a 4 sp. Turns heads. Not many survivors left. Bought it fairly.

Looks nice Phil. I wouldn't of used that word...decided, that would've been my choice. It looks like a hell of a car and exactly what you two were looking for. Congrats, the looking is over.

Perfect. "Decided" or "chose" would fit better. You are correct. We wouldn't have bought anything if we felt we were "settling" on one.

Erin was happy. She really liked it. I always liked these and never really looked at them closely because the ones I always saw were in need of total restoration, already restored beyond what I consider "a driver" or turned into drag cars. We can jump in this with the kids and go cruising.

Very nice. Looks great. The memories made will be priceless!

I still like the El Caminos Jon. That one wasn't the right one. It needed too much loving and the guy wouldn't budge. Worked out for the best. This one is far from perfect, but rust is not one of its issues. I crawled all over that Nova. In the trunk, engine compartment, underneath. . . Not "rust free" but it has less rust than the underside of any of our modern vehicles. I need to get it on a lift and take some pics for you guys. It is clean underneath. I'd eat off the bottom of this Nova.

She sure is a sweet looking ride Phil!

Get yourselves some early 60's outfits for when you go out cursing.
