Another house build thread

Wow, coming along real nice Doug! Keep the pics coming, 👍🏻. Looking forward to following along!
Remember, you can’t have too many outside outlets! Christmas lights, outside TV’s, smoker, etc….
Accent lighting in eaves, gables and dormers give great road appeal and helps working at night on projects.
Ceiling outlets in bedrooms, bar or any room for elevated TV’s.
Think about running more 12/2 and 20 amp breakers instead of 14/2 15 amp. I’d run lighting up in rafters and have walking planks going from one end of house to the other just in case you have to go up there.
Whole house fans are nice, love ours.
Great move on your roofing material.👍🏻
I mentioned this in another thread a while ago but it doesn’t hurt to mention it again….run a couple of conduits from the basement to the attic for future projects (electric, fiber optic etc). It doesn’t cost much and could save you time and money in the future.

What are the inspection points in your county? Beyond what Mike pointed out, I don't see any Simpson ties. What is holding that post on the porch from being knocked off?

I'll have to check on inspection points.

There are Simpson ties in the bottom and in not sure on the top.

Looks good. Definitely needs some Truss clips.

I would recommend having snow shields put on roof to stop snow from falling on deck, also where your outside AC unit will be.

Id run an 8 foot level across walls to check for any studs that may have a serious crown to it.(sticking out)

I would also make sure that framers put blocks in for cabinets. 👍

Nice place by all means. Them windows cost a mint.🤣

I hope the rest of the build goes smoothly for ya. Beautiful spot.
