Not even close. Getting ready to move into new house, mother in law passed away 3 weeks ago, so that put a big damper on things. Plus, just acquired a camper at cave lake campground this weekend that needs updated. Probably use it as hunting cabin/summer retreat. Plus work:cautious:. Good luck to those getting out

Stands are hung. A few cameras are set. Are my clothes washed?… No. Am I where I want to be, shooting-wise?… No. In fact I have a new arrow rest coming this week that I’ll have to install and tune prior to Saturday. Lol. Long story short, no, I’m not ready either. But I’ll likely get some fresh air this weekend anyway. My season usually starts seriously around the 2nd-3rd week in October.

I'm nowhere close. Don't even have any desire at the moment. Probably because my schedule looks terrible until November. (which isn't a terrible time to be hunting.)
I'm with you. Between moving, kids sports, the fair and everything else i haven't evergreen got cameras out. Hope to change that and maybe verify zero on my crossbow this weekend.

I don't know if I can draw my bow yet. Still regaining strength in my left arm after the neck disk issues. Probably a big part of why I'm not too excited. I'll kill one with my son's crossbow. I've got nothing against anyone who uses one. I'm just not very excited about it and I know I don't need to shoot daily with it to be ready.

As far as this coming weekend, I know I will not be heading to Ohio but Michigan's opening day is Sunday. So there's a chance. Only thing I intend to do this week is buy my Michigan licenses to give me more incentive to get out. My hopes are to get out on some state land where my dad and I used to hunt here in Michigan and maybe make it to the old farm we used to hunt up in the Thumb. Money is already set aside for Ohio, Allen and I both (Jenna is on her own :ROFLMAO:) , so that will happen either right before we leave or on the way down. Hope to get to Ohio every weekend we can afford to. Bow has been shot plenty, hunting clothes are still packed away from last season. Need to get my ducks in a row soon I guess.

All I’ve done was cut my property. Still teal season thru Saturday. I want/need to go to the camp to at least put cams up to do a survey. Unlike the Midwest, just seeing a deer down here is an accomplishment. We can’t feed since we are in a “CWD” zone w 8 deer being diagnosed with it the last two years out of 6k samples les or more. All were found on this one club/lease inside the levee bordering the Mississippi River. My intentions was to take my 22mag and bust some swines as but it has to be squirrel season that only opens on the first Saturday in October. Probably head up next Thursday and start getting my groove on.

Me, being held back from entering the woods by ODNR rules and regulations until Saturday. Yes, I'm ready.

Two shots moments ago with the old NAP 125g 'THUNDER'heads from 20 & 30 yards away, 30 above was the last. Now just waiting on the rain and I'll go set up the LoneWolf Alpha. Yeah, I'm ready to go!

Good luck to everybody else this year! Have fun, be safe and share those memories!!
