Glad you got the gun. You are going to put it to better use than I ever could. Nice looking bunnie dogs. I have always wanted a rabbit dog just never have had enough time to run them.

Here is another of my coyote guns. This is for when they attack in numbers!
Colt H-Bar .223 pre-ban.

Here is the 25-06. It is a custom rifle built by a guy that is no longer alive. He lived in Delphos OH. It is a shooter! I took two whitetails bucks in GA. with it a few years ago. They were 255 and 265 yards. Not really that far but the longest shots I have taken on deer so far. Hit them both right behind the left shoulder and came out through the back of the right shoulder. I shot them about 45 seconds apart.

Woops I skipped over my 22-250. It is a Remington 788. I haven't been out hunting with it yet but have shot some paper. It is a shooter but I hate to buy factory ammo. So I need to break down and get some brass so I can get a load worked up that I can afford to shoot.

Here is the last of the bolt actions. It is a Winchester model 70 classic w/BOSS in .270. I have taken quite a few deer in GA. with this one. That is a Leupold 4-12 on top. The BOSS does work! I just wish I had a solid one instead of the one with the muzzle break. My ears ring all the time from shooting it in a blind with a tin roof.

Thats a fine collection of bolt action guns.
Lets just hope you don't need the Colt 223 for an overrun...:smiley_cowboy:

Then again, no one commented when I was going to use my "new" savage 17 on coyote w/ a 45acp back up...

I'll put the bayonet on the AR just in case I can't get them all on the first charge!

I think a .45 acp is perfectly acceptable as a back up. In fact I would like to give mine a try as the main firepower sometime. All though I wouldn't use my .17 HMR as the main gun for coyotes. Don't want to start any wars here debating the .17 HMR though. I love mine.

Wow Buckrun, thanks for sharing! I enjoyed looking through those guns and learning a little bit. You've got some nice Remington's in the bunch!

Just found this one on my computer and figured that I'd share.

It's a Daisy tube magazine BB gun that my dad has a kid. I shoot it every couple of years but you literally have to be careful that you don't shoot your eye out as it sometimes when you cock it it shoots :D Custom trigger job I guess. Always made me feel like I was in WWII shooting it, in its hayday it could shoot matches off of a picnic table at 25 feet. I've never shot a more accurate gun, bar none.

I've always wanted a pellet rifle that I could hunt with. I have never found one that I thought was accurate enough and with enough power for squirrel hunting.

I learned to shoot with dads bb gun when I was a kid. It was a Daisy Red Rider from the 40's. Unfortunately when dad passed I don't know what the (step mom) did with the guns which included my old bb gun.

Its good you have your dads gun. Keep it, may be even get the trigger fixed to be safe.

Steve- The 25-06 is a beautiful piece and I know another local guy (Bowhunter57) will drool over it when he sees this thread. SHoot, those are all very nice. I won't start the debate, but in my opinion I would leave the 17's for the groundhogs with the arsenal you have available to shoot coyotes with. Just me. I usually just carry the S&W 9mm for close quarters coyote combat, and always plan on the 223. However, I do need to get the 243 dialed in as I think it would be a great one for shooting yotes across the fields!

Yep I have a Browning A Bolt in 22-250 with the BOSS and it does work. And very loud. The Leup 4-12 Vari-X III is my favorite scope.

Way to keep the thread going guys!
