Okay after years of looking at everyone else arsenals, I figured I'd post some of my stuff... Not nearly as nice as some but they're all mine lol... Enjoy... :smiley_bril: The third picture top one is the Mossberg O/U that I just aquired from COB, but have yet to shoot lol...

I was thinking about getting that Mossberg. I was to slow deciding. You got a good looking gun there.

Very nice "J". In honor of Thanksgiving, I think I will post one. I have yet to fire this one although it has been fired before. I plan on sighting it in for longer range coyote hunting. Because, sometimes you just want to sit back and slay! This is a Remington 243 in pump with a Leupold scope atop!

Thanks guys.
Steve- I won't lie, it is purty. I need to get it dialed in, but it will be the gun used for long range shooting. I won't drag it through the woods like I do some guns. I want it to be functional, but still keep it nice. I don't want it to be a safe queen either though.

Sam- Yes, factory engraving. They had some with elk, sheep, and bear if memory serves me correct.

CJD- I did not buy it new, so I am not sure exact age. Did some research before I purchased it and I was thinking it was in the 80's. Might have been mid to late 80's if I am thinking of the same gun research. Tired tonight. It does have nice wood. hehe I just said "nice wood". They sure don't put the quality of wood into them they used to. Even the top of the line Remingtons are not going to give you this deep finish. Not sure why? Maybe producing more? Maybe spending less to build? Maybe demand wasn't there? Maybe a combination of these things?

Lets start small. This is a Rem.700 in .17 rem. When I got it it looked like it had never been cleaned. It was filthy mess. I bought it for coyote hunting. I figured if it would hold a 2" group at 100 yards it would do for a while.

It took me 2 nights of cleaning to git it all cleaned up. When I took it to the range it would hold 5 shots under 1"! I was happy until I found out it wouldn't hold "0" Every time I took it to the range it was 1 - 2" off point of aim. The original stock looked oil soaked and soft.

I ordered an Elk Ridge laminated stock and restocked it. It has Aluminum pillers and is glass bedded to 1" in front of the receiver. This was the first time I ever did anything like this. It turned out very good and now shoots like a dream.

I wanted a thumb hole stock so I would have a little more grip on the gun while it was setting on shooting sticks and I was blowing into my predator call.

It also has a Leupold 3-9 scope.

The velcro on the side is to hold the switch for my night hunting light.

Here are a couple .22 Hornets.

The top one is a Savage model 23 D. The 23 D was the first production .22 hornet to hit the marked back in the 1930's. I don't know what year this one was made but it is still a good shooter. I have killed quit a few ground hogs and called my first fox back in 1990 and shot it with this gun. It was at night and the next block west of Bresler Reservoir. Where they are putting the new Reservoir. So it will soon be under water.

It has a Lyman 3X Post and cross hair scope. This worked well for night shooting.

The lower one is a CZ 527. I haven't shot this one much yet. But it seems to be a nice well made rifle. I put a Simmons scope on it.

My plan for the CZ was to rebarrel it to .17 Achley Hornet someday. I love the .17 cal.

Thanks Buckrun as soon as I saw that O/U I had to have it lol. Now if I can get out and shoot it I'd feel a lot better lol

Well made it out with the mossy .410... Went 3 for 4 initially then got a little cocky and dropped the average .... :smiley_blackeye: This is one sweat shooting gun, and at first I wasn't too sure about the fiber optic front sight... But after shooting it I'm a fan... Thanks Ted, gun worked great and had good results....
