2 shots at 25, 1 at 50 and 1 at 75. The one farthest from the bulls eye was the first shot. The whole paper target is 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" so that'll do just fine for me. Cleaning it up and putting it away until early muzzleloader season.
 
Just wanted to paper the Marlin 1894 chambered in the 44 Mag (as well as special). Its a 16" barrel and a fast lever to put into action at short ranges. As I have taken several deer with the Ruger Redhawk I thought this would be a fun option in the hardwoods. Although the handgun likes the heaver 300gr Hornady, the micro grooved barrel of the Marlin shot 1.5 inch groups with the Cor-Bon 180gr. as well as the 270 gr.
The Speer Gold Dot. 300gr. group was a disappointing 4.5" group.
Sighted for 100 yards, these shots were at 45 yards.

No big deal. Just something different to read this time of year.
 
Nice pair of 44's. I took 22 deer in Ohio with the 44 Mag. I used the Ruger Redhawk Hunter like yours shown on 19 then I switched over to the Ruger Super Blackhawk with Bisley grip for 3 more.
If my Hornady 310 gr. plastic bullets for the 45-70 don't come in I'll just use my Ruger auto rifle with either 240 or 310 gr. lead cast bullets.
