Boarhead's Coyote Snaring 2014/15 season

Good work Brian.
This was the last year I had em at dads. Then poof they disappeared. Man I wanna catch one bad.

Been a long time since I have caught a grey fox Zach, they are a neat animal.
Used to have one for a pet when I lived on the farm as a teenager. Cool as hell, I used to tie it out on a long cable with a collar on and the thing could climb a tree like a cat.LOL

No catches today but just talked to Rick(xbowguy) and he is coming over tomorrow morning to check my snareline with me.
Hope we catch one but the cool thing is he use to hunt this farm way back in the day so should be fun for him.
I know he is excited about it and it is always fun to have someone tag along when i check them.
Saw some fresh tracks today and put 3 more sets in.

Have not seen a yote track on the big farm since thursday so been a little slow but set 2 snares yesterday over at the family farm where i saw tracks and they were eating on a deer carcass,it paid off with this big male today.
First one this year that was rubbed around the neck and back,but still another dead yote.lol
Should be just a matter of time when some yotes make their rounds back to the big farm.

Amazing how they travel and completely disappear from a place then reappear with a vengeance.

Been real slow this week,have not seen one set of yote tracks.Not a bad thing but sure would like to take a few more out before i wrap up in the next couple of weeks.
The picture is of a red fox i caught several years ago as he has a ring tail.Only one i have ever caught with a tail like this and thought it was pretty unique.
Anyone one else ever seen or taken one with a tail like this.

Caught a big female today,that makes 3 females off of this farm and 1 male.
Usually the big males have an attitude but she was really pissed off till that 22 hit her.
Hope a few more show up and get caught.
