I'd like to be a fly on the wall for those sessions! Old Milo has a way of teaching you things like no other! Looking great fellas!!!

No doubt about it. Sometimes I ask him a question and he insults me without hurting my feelings with answers such as "Don't worry about that. We haven't gotten to that lesson yet." Said another way "You don't know squat about that you dipstick." lmao

I am not offended. He is right. Excellent thread buddy.

You hit the nail on the head Jesse! Thanks to Milo I will never look at tuning a bow the same way!! He knows his shit!

sweet. did you get your limbs lined up good on riser without issue? gonna be a pretty bow, Greg. phenolic overlays so you can use D97 or other low-stretch string? what finish are you gonna put on it?

get your spray gun all cleaned and ready to go bubba:smiley_bril:

Jamie if you look at the red line in the picture that is a laser level and you can see it is pretty close. I used a doweling jig to center the holes in the riser as well as the limbs. It seems to have ok not perfect but close, I hope to make up the rest during tillering

As far as finish I think it is time to invest in the proper spray equipment. If you think the Finish you use will work on a recurve then that is what we use. The BBO has held up well and I am hard on bows.

Yes I have phenolic for limb tips I will use B97 since I have a bunch. I also made a new string jig like yours I followed the plans exactly this time. I might see what Jim has for colors. Milo needs some yellow and I need some red.

It has been learning experience that is for sure.

Next time we will strike a center line first, mount limbs to riser then mark true center and cut the limbs out after

I have yellow and black Greg. I like that finish Jamie uses too. I may order some phenolic for the limb pads. If you want some let me know

I have ample supply of epoxy. would be happy for you guys to use some of it up as it has a shelf life, even refrigerated. DeVilbiss gun I use can be had locally if you are interested in buying one. you can use mine, though.
