Now that we are empty nesters, one thing that became apparent is we don’t use as much butter as we did when the kids were around. Seems the butter would get mold growth in between our use of it. Goes to show how often we use it lol... Wife found a product like this when we were in Tennessee a couple years ago, I gotta say the thing works pretty good. Uses a 1/3 of a cup of water and it seals out the air and allows the butter too keep way longer then before. I give it a thumbs up. We had waffles for breakfast and used the last bit of butter that was in it and while washing it out before reloading butter into it I was thinking it’s a pretty simple and unique way of keeping it longer... We use the rolled sweet butter mostly these days if and when we use any... Probably more for cooking than anything else...

it's a great idea for people who like real butter but don't eat it often. I have a butter bell that is made of marble. it totally works, but since I'm a butter whore, it got to be a bit of nuisance. butter never has a chance to go bad around here, especially the good Kerrygold that I spread on my bread and toast and such. I like soft butter to spread, so it sits out all the time, but the cheap butter we cook with stays in the fridge until we need it.

I've heard rumors that Finlandia butter is even better, but I can't seem to find it in a store.

Same here with the butter in the fridge we cook with...
I’ll have to try those two butters you’ve pointed out....

Yup, another Kerrigold household! I didn’t even know better could go bad...seriously, I thought this was gonna be a thread about keeping it from melting for sweet corn or something.
