On the crab boat this morning. Dj trying to kill with bow and Hunter w a podnah in his duck lease.

Headed in now on the crab boat. Probably Caught almost 4K pounds of crabs. Dj had a 4pt under him and elected to pass on him. Hunter had a decent hunt killing I think almost a dozen.

Hunter hunted this morning w terrible conditions to duck hunt in…..imagine that! Killed one gadwall (grey duck) as we call them down south. Hot, no wind and very foggy. He’s currently setting some coyote traps on property. Where is coyote ken when you need him. Dj at work and I’ve been finishing up my 2 skull mounts and loggerhead turtle shells.

How’d the crabbing go?

Went good. Caught almost 4K pounds. It’s in a post in a few post back. Going tomorrow and then going to camp

Back at the camp, got a late start because it was raining water monkeys at 5:30. Woke up about 20 minutes till shoot time and busted ass trying to make it. Was about 10 minutes late. Did manage to kill 2 palmetto parrots.

After I met up with Hunter and went to the property to check yote traps. Didn’t catch any. I took a walk by the gate and found a participation trophy. Probably shot or hit off the road last year.

Made a duck hunt with Hunter. Got to the pond early this time. Pond was 90x50 so we split up. Had a pair come in and never left. Pearl did good work. Then had 5 fly over and left. Then two came in and rolled out. We never even shot after the first 2 birds were killed. Nothing else came in so the game plan was to walk to the other hole. Told Hunter to sneak up and try to finish the limit as I walked down where they fly out most times. Waited for Hunter to shoot but sat there about 20 minutes waiting. Figured he was trying to kill some w one shot. Finally he shot 3 or 4 times killing 3. I didn’t get a shot.
