Can't wait to get down there. Even if it's just to hang with the crew and see a different set of woods lol. Not going to pass the doe or BB's though lol.

I can imagine pulling into the campgrounds on that Sunday morning and seeing the carnage of beer cans scattered and a small fire still going. I always stop at the front of the campground so my group and I can smoke up, then I drive around and drop my Dad and buddy off where they hunt so I am sure I will see a couple of yall down there.. I will make it a point to stop over Sunday in the afternoon for a meet and greet with who ever is left. White 03 Ext Cab Silverado, you'll see it parked somewhere around there..

Hey Mr. Rex, I have a question for ya about the shooting range down by the park office. Is it still closed? I know it was a great place for guys to practice but sometimes I swear it sounded like a small army down there. I was happy it was closed last year and made things alot quieter around dark when trying to hear over the cannon blasts. It didnt matter how far I got away from there, It still sounded like I was right next to the range... any update on it? Also, will there be a working bathroom down near the end of the campground(Near the loop)? I think I usually camp in 38 and last year the dang door was screwed shut, in 2010 they had a port-o-john placed there by the park. I understand the increase in cost as the grounds need some work but I can remember when it was 6 bucks a night off peak.. cost me a whole 42 dollars for a week.. the good ole days..
Well don't I feel like a dildo! First time I really ever read this thread... Is it too late to get in on this? Be happy to go in on a cabin with a few. Sounds like a hell of a time! Since I couldn't make the shoot, I really want to go to this!
Last week when I was down there fishing, I scouted out a spot I felt might be pretty good. Looks like the easiest way to get to it is gonna be by kayak though. Gonna have to work up the courage to paddle across the lake in the dark though. I may just have a heart attack!

Jesse when you planning on making it there? I remember you saying you're going down a day or so early too get set up. I'm thinking the same thing and can help out if you need it.... Otherwise I was going too scout it....
My plan is to be down there around 5 on Thursday, get camp under way, shoot my bow a little and get a decent nights sleep. I'm going to hunt for a few hours Friday AM, then hang my stand I plan to sit Friday evening. Play it by ear after that...
I might try to take a day or two off, myself... We can't have you setting up camp all by your lonesome!
Hmm. I may show up Thursday evening. The plan was to come up Friday, hunt Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning.
I'll tell ya right now, don't wake me up Sunday morning because I ain't getting up to hunt! I'll be tying one on Saturday night and will have breakfast ready at 10:30 Sunday morning...
