Canoe Cart Project

I collected/purchased all the parts, yesterday and assembled it today. :smiley_bril:

Frame Materials from Lowes:
* All 1 1/2" pvc
6 tees
2 five foot sections of pvc
4 reducers of 1 1/2" to 1/2"
4 end caps
1 can of pvc glue
1 can of cleaner
1 5' section of 1/2" conduit
1 3' section of 5/8" threaded rod
4 large fender washers
2 nylock nuts 5/8"
1 6' section of pipe insulation
2 13" tires from Harbor Freight
...and ofcourse a little bit of duct tape. :smiley_coolpeace:
The overall cost was about $60. I use 2 cinch straps, that are wrapped around the entire canoe, to hold the cart in place. It's very easy to push or pull, steer and weighs approx. 12 lbs.
I'm hoping to get out on a pond with it...somewhere, this weekend.

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

That is awesome! Gonna steal that idea as well. The only change I plan to make is using camo duct tape... :smiley_coolpeace:

The idea is well worth stealing, as it makes transporting your canoe/kayak much easier. I would estimate the carry end weighing around 10 lbs. and the air tires make it smooth.

I may let the air out of the tires, add some of that "green slime" and air-up the tires...that way if I pick up a thorn or something, I won't have to worry about getting a flat. Just a preventative thought. :smiley_chinrub:
