A few weeks back on a weekend at PA camp I had my first pan fried deer kidneys. They taste like mushrooms for those that haven’t tried them yet. I might keep my next set for an appitizer.
That’s what I’m talking about! What are we missing...things we throw back or leave.

Actually planning a squirrel hunt today. Seems all my kids have run separate ways to play in the snow with friends. Might be flying solo. They gotta move first, haven’t seen one yet today! Which is very uncommon for my house.

With all the “deer nuts” you been collecting, the squirrels should be hunting you! Lmao

BTW, my mouth watered thinking about a good boil!

Me too! Looks something like this

Yes down here is where the seafood is plentiful. Last night dj went to work (crabbing) and brought home some stone crab claws. If boils are bad for your health, I only have a few days left at best.

They getting almost 6$ a pound boiled right now.... fuck that I’d never eat one at that price. I should catch some by end of February or early March.

I have been wanting to do a crawfish boil for the longest time. Just not sure where to get them fresh around these parts

Not to derail this thread but we could do a low country boil at the spring outing. Would probably have to use shrimp instead of crawfish since we are in Ohio.
