My father in law tried to convince me carp were good to eat. I bought his lie.... once. He got a big laugh out of that. Many of the worlds people also eat fermented fish, eggs, etc. I’m not doing that either.
My dad did the same to me a couple years ago. He smoked some carp and convinced me to eat some. Never again.
When my mom and grandparents got off the boat, carp was a staple. Fox River and the Lincoln Park lagoon.

If I just got off the boat and had limited resources, I’d eat them. One look at me and it’s obvious I’ve never been truly hungry. I hope I never have to eat them... they suck.

Good thing in May is when crawfish is cheapest. Can even do blue crabs if we can line it up. Anyone close to an airport to pick them up?

I don't know if they bowfish carp down there like they do up here but man they haul in a shitload of them during some of the tournaments they have. Thing is most if not all end up as garden fertilizer.

Probably gonna have to be a big airport like delta or southwest that flies in. Unless someone has a private plane. Or.... if this is during turkey season and someone could provide a hunt or two might get a personal delivery.

How much seafood we talking about. I don’t know how big the group that goes? 500#? More or less, don’t really matter as it can be done. Shrimp, crawfish and crabs is the options or all 3.
Crabs are usually around 1.25 #, crawfish around the same and shrimp for 16-20’s is around 3$ a #. Shipping cost is around .60 cents a pound to fly last I remember.
