This generation has spent most of their life in war time. The preciousness and fragility of life is forgotten. People want to blame it on violence on TV or in video games, but forget to consider all the wars this country is involved in.

Not sure I agree. Most of these pukes probably don't even realize we are involved in a war. Were it not for my respect for our service men and women, and the fact I attempt to stay somewhat "up" on current affairs, I am not sure I would know we were at war. Pretty sad to know we have people risking their lives as we speak and it is not affecting my day to day life very much.

You proved my point. We've been so desensitized to the tragedy of war that we don't even realize this administration has deployed troops to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen and Libya and we'll likely be at war in Syria and Iran soon, too.

Yeah but wasn't it an alternative school for bad ass kids?

I don't agree with this whole anti-bullying crap campaign they're pushing. Its what's wrong with society. Teach the kids right from wrong, self pride, how to hold their head up and most importantly when to whip someone's ass and when to walk away. The same problem that is wrong with society starts at childhood. Some people just need their ass beat. Bullies aren't going to stop just because some poster or PSA makes them feel bad. Kids need to be taught to grow some balls and stand up to them and bloody their nose. And if you get beat up. Oh well at least you stood up for yourself.

Yes, the kid had a history of trouble.

Joe, I agree with everything u said. Bullying has always happened and it always will.

I dont think it was a school for troubled kids. It was a career center that he was waiting to go to. I think it said he was in the Culinary Arts program.

Exactly my thoughts. Also, kids need to learn it is ok to lose and that is part of life. Goes right along with entitlement, trophies for last place and broken families/parents. This society is really degrading....

I am a very stern father but my kids have no doubt that there is nothing they can do to make me not love them....even though I will warm their ass in a second.

I would also put money on this kid being on Ridlin, SSRI or some other mood altering drug.

Kids dad was a real role model. Did time in the clink for felonius assult. Also, local news refuted that he was bullied by any of the victims.

So sad regardless but when there is bullying going on instead of bystanders sticking up for the victim many times than not they just turn on their cell phones these day and record it or just let it go on. WTH is our society turning into?!?

One of our teachers asked us to raise our hands a few weeks ago if we were whipped when we were kids. Everyone in the class raised there hand except for one girl. Lets just say she's a strange one. Also not to be a jerk but MH and I looked at the Goths and freaks at our school and most of them had no father figure while growing up.
