Looking for opinions on chest packs. Looking to carry 10x40 binos, range finder and other accessories. Also looking for it to be able to carry a side arm. What you say?

I’ve been using a chest pack from Marsupial Gear for about 5 seasons I think. Absolutely love it. I feel naked hunting without it. Highly recommend.
I have an Eberlestock harness that holds my Hellcat and 10x40s nicely. I use a Vortex version for bowhunting, but the Eberlestock for everything else. The Marsupial stuff is really well made as JB said.
@jagermeister Can you post some pictures, explain a little? I'm intrigued.

I'll second the marsupial. I used one in AZ and some after. Comfortable and doesn't dig. The magnetic closure is awesome and the pouch pocket stays open and the opening flap opens forward instead of up so you can put the binos back one-handed. It has a few mesh pockets on the side for a puff bottle wind checker. And a mesh cell phone holder on the back side of the pouch. It won't hold a sidearm and range finder but I'm sure they have other models. I personally sisnt like how the larger ones stuck out and blocked my vision at my feet. I was archery hunting elk so I had to be careful with foot placement when stalking so I wanted to be able to just move my eyes down and look where my next step was landing., I don't think you'll have that same issue though. If you can do without those things and figure out another way to carry them you can borrow mine.

It looks like they have rangefinder pouches to add and even a bottom mount holster you can add.

Another option would be Alaskan Guide Creations. I don't know how they compare to anyone else's, but I've used mine for 6 years and it still looks pretty much new!

One other thing, when I used the style sling you are looking at, I reversed the sling so that my barrel pointed down. This places the scope behind and below the rifle protecting it. It also keeps the gun from sticking up above my shoulder. Plus the forearm is easy to grab as it is at your hands height by your thigh while walking. I simply pull it up with the forearm hand in it's natural position as I raise it to my shooting shoulder. It is gun at the ready fast. I always tape my muzzle so nothing plugs it.
