This strikes me as funny considering the source. I don't know many folks shooting squirrels with a 2k$ custom built rimfire...but I do know one. Lol. And the dang thing has a scope.

well, that statement was intended to be a joke dripping with sarcasm and a jab at myself, so...

nice shot. is that an old Damon Howatt?

Yes it is. It is marked 60 but nowadays feels like 100 to me.

I got the joke. I just had to mention that sweet shooting rifle. I've always enjoyed the irony. No doubt your bows are artwork, but ther are more efficient ways to launch an arrow. I don't think there are many rimfire rifles more effectively killing squirrels. Enjoy the challenge while bow hunting, enjoy precision shooting while chasing squirrels. I get it...

He loves that thing. It shoots really well, he shoots it often. I really need to make him up some lighter spine arrows for it. Everything we have is a little to stiff.

Here's my first miss on a live animal with one of my longbows. Some of you have seen it. First week in November three seasons ago on the ground in a chair. The wheat field was full of deer and none of the bucks would come into the decoy. Watch the field after the miss. One of my favorite hunts.

Today is evidently "one of those days." Everything just seems to be clicking. I draw, I see the spot, release, and the arrow goes there. Almost feels like magic. This is why I'm addicted to traditional archery now. Never in my life has a 6" group at 30 yards been so gratifying.
