Sermon added a whole dimension to that team that won the previous 2 games. Losing him right off the bat then getting schooled by Smith repeatedly in the first half took a toll on OSUs mind set.

Imagine if Wadel wasn't waddling around with a broken ankle. He's was just as deadly as Smith when he was healthy earlier this season.

I still stand behind my statement that if the OSU team that played Clemson showed up last night Bama would have had their hands full. Now here comes the fun part. Post game film. I'm going to go back and watch both games again. I want to see what OSU did and didn't do against Clemson and Bama. Did the same team show up and was simply neutralized, or did they just blow it.
But they didn't 🤣

I don't want to be biased. Common sense says: the more the defense is on the field, the more tired they get. Sermon would have helped. He (most likely) would have changed some drives. This freshens up the defense, Physically and mentally.

I'm talking about going back and watching film to see, and you didn't even see the game fool. For all you know NotreDame showed up. :ROFLMAO:
WRONG. Notre Dame held Bama to fewer first downs (ND 24 - OSU 33), fewer total yards (ND 437 - OSU 621), fewer passing yards (ND 297 - OSU 464), fewer rushing yards (ND 140 - OSU 157) and fewer points (ND 31 - OSU 52).

Oh snap. 😅😅😅.

I mean every player counts and losing people makes a difference. But one man isn't going to stop a team from hanging 620 yards and 52 points on ya in a game. Case in point Alabama lost it's star Safety due to targeting in the 2nd quarter. But still managed to hold osu to 141 total yards in the 2nd half. Bama lost smith early in the third but still managed to put another 14 points on without him.

Hey @giles Am I doing it right? 😂😂 👍

The best team won. Convincingly. Let's not overcomplicate it. That Alabama team was not getting beaten this year. Clemson would have suffered the same fate. Florida was the closest game, and that only got close late in garbage time. It was a 2-3 score game for the vast majority of it. And that Florida team lost to hapless (this year) LSU and got absolutely slammed by Oklahoma. They played well against Bama and couldn't hang with them. Trey Sermon would not have made a difference. I don't think Eddie George could have made a difference, unless he could cover Devonta Smith.

Congrats to Alabama, hell of a season.

Haha! Ywll had a hell of a schedule and you made it look like a cakewalk. Its been fun talking smack amongst friends. Yall were unstoppable. We will meet again. Enjoy your Pepsi...fag🤣

That's a cold coors in a can bottle. I only hit the pepsi when I gotta back off the throttle for a second to find the next gear.

I think the difference was the pressure OSU got on Goldilocks that they didn't get vs Jones. That was where the game was won/lost IMHO.
