Cotty and Old Scout's 2013 Pics

He is a shooter and then some! I know my phone is acting up, but I feel left out on the text list. lol

Nothing special to report today other than Semper Fi is still hanging around and he has a little buddy. They decided to smile for the camera. It's kind of comical. the first 4 pics are Semper Fi and the last one is his buddy. The little feller mocked big brother.

LOL he's making the same face as semper fi is in the second pic

Crazy, ain't it? It's like they did it on purpose. LOL

I am really hoping to get one of my boys on Semper Fi. I'm not sure if I'd let them shoot the smaller one or not. Maybe if the it was the right shot and he pumped them up. Semper Fi, on the other hand, appears to have reached his potential based on last year's pics and this year's. He's on the hit list for the boys for sure.

Sweet pics!! Man I love the Coverts!! Did you have any scent out or is the camera over a scrape or something? Sure looks like they're getting a whiff of something!

Great up close pics Mike! Hope the boys get a shot at him this season. You're getting day time pics anyway so that's a start.

It's been awhile since I posted anything. Mainly because I ain't had a buck worthy of posting in forever. In fact, the whole season of pics has been up and comers. I have switched my focus to the ridge right behind my house because of ease of walking right out my back door and over the hill. My efforts now are in hopes of getting Kody a crack at something... anything... with his bow.

Since after gun season, we have not had any bucks on camera. Just crazy...

Anyhow, we will be getting after these ladies for the rest of bow season. Muzzy will be buck only, but if it's brown it's down with a bow (unless it's a shed buck or button buck).

Right behind my house is a steep ass hill that goes way down into a creek bottom. Halfway down is an old quad trail that I set the corn up on. I was going to set up on the field edge, but I was hoping with the corn down in the woods I'd have a better chance at drawing in a buck. No luck yet. My plan is to set up on the steep hill and overlook the pile. It's almost like being in a tree stand. I set up an old picnic bench seat in between some trees. I dug out the ground to make it level and with the woods being fairly open we should see them coming. That way Kody can get up and get ready. We shall see.
