Covid vaccinations

Yes - but people got the polio vaccine without researching the internet to find case studies like you stated. That's all I was trying to say in that statement. Not trying to debate which illness killed more people but how times have change where and how people get their information.

Fortunately for them it was actually a vaccine that prevented infection and stopped transmission leading to an immunity barrier that effectively eliminated polio in the US. Not a therapeutic with very short durability that funnels revoling profit streams to big pharmaceutical companies. This vaccine no doubt saves lives, how its being pushed on every man woman and child is wrong wrong wrong.

Are you willing to sign a form refusing care for any risky behavior for which you made a personal decision to participate? Ride a bicycle without a helmet, not wear a lifejacket, any sports participation, drive when unnecessary, eat too many cheeseburgers, are you currently at the recommended weight, should we reduce care if you develop a condition due to being over optimal weight Etc. You ever drink any alcohol? People have a right to make personal health decisions based on their personal belief, and no doctor, and especially not you, have a right to judge them for that to impact their care. Regardless of your personal health decision, or anyone else's, you have no more right to care than any other person. Should we apply your same logic to those who can afford better care, let's just take all the doctors from the poor hospitals and staff ours. After all, those poor people had plenty of opportunity to make themselves better. How about this idea, let's reserve all the care capacity for those under 60 and say screw all those old people who will likely die to covid or something else anyway in the next decade. Cancer patients, let's free up the beds and nurses. This isn't Nazi Germany my friend. You're pointing the finger at the wrong people. Our healthcare system has had over a year to prepare for covid variants and spikes yet they are woefully unprepared. Instead of realizing and being angry about that you just insist that people be left in the street to die.
Thank you. This post has been on the tip of my tongue. To criticize someone for not taking their chance at getting a vaccine is insane. Do some research on the vast majority of chronic diseases that we see in the US. You have a much lower chance of contracting them if you exercise and diet. Well let’s just say fuck the entire US population as they had their chance to lose weight and exercise. This ICU bed is for me!

The video Chuck posted of Dr Z. It's a good watch. Pretty unbiased in my opinion. He debunked some of the money theories. Basically: there is more money to be made from therapeutics than the vaccine. Made me rethink some things. I still think it is sketchy with the push for the vaccine, but his video made sense in this respect.

Thanks for your post Jimk. You made me laugh. I'm going to go smoke some crack, shoot some heroin, drink some beers, and drive my car without a seatbelt. But if I am vaccinated I should still get a bed at the hospital by your thought process. 🤦🏻‍♂️

From a market perspective, the volatility could dry up if deaths stay low with new waves/variants regardless of vaccination trends. Barring govt and central bank intervention.

Exactly my thoughts, I could say more in response to the post this is in response to, but I will just leave it here.

Joe’s post is very true. The list of risk assessment and personal choices are endless. I choose to climb a stand for better vantage point but some others opt not to for fear of falling or don’t like heights. If I fall and they trip while hunting and get hurt and we need a ICU bed do they deserve the right to be treated before me?
Driving to and from work is dangerous as hell for all of us!!!! Maybe we should all just stay home and be safe….🤗👍🏻

Think about what it is doing to our kids hearing these things.

Merry Christmas everyone. Let's try and slow down this divide during these tough times. Everyone's Christmas is going to be different this year. Let's not start it out with name calling before it even gets started. Let's enjoy the season with the ones we still have. Put aside the politics and such. Wash your hands and be a good clean person. Respect wishes of others as you would like your wishes respected and carry on.

Hmmm. Interesting thoughts but I think you are missing my point. I will state that my health insurance does charge more for being over weight and the use tobacco. If you are healthier, it is cheaper. So Yes - riskier activities do cost more. Sort like drinking and driving. Yes - maybe 1 or 2 beers and I am OK to drive and I get away with it a 1,000 times, But then on that 1,001 time I get in an accident, now due to the law, I am in violation. This is how I view this virus. Gamble if you want and hopefully you and your loved ones can make it through.

I am not suggesting that you are required to get a shot. Just realize that it costing everyone more in the end. ( money, life, freedoms) As I stated in the previous post, this virus might become less of a threat in the coming years and the current shot for Covid is similar to the Flu shot.

One other thing that I was trying to point out, health insurance is like all other insurance. When there is a hurricane, everyone that has insurance with that company suddenly pays more. ( maybe not a lot ) Sorta like this, you and I have the same homeowners insurance but you live in the midwest and I choose to live on the East coast right on the beach. So when the first hurricane hits and my house gets hit, your premiums help rebuild it and then go up. I rebuild and 12 months later, another hurricane hits and the process repeats itself. And this keeps happening each year. When do you start to question why I keep rebuilding in an area that is going to keep getting hit by a natural disaster?? It's preventable and I should build somewhere else or build a stronger house but it's my right to build it the way I want and where I want. Seems logically according to what you posted earlier??
