Well fellas, this I by far the nicest striker I've turned. This is snakewood, one of the rarest woods in the world. I was told by a couple different call makers that weight is absolutely crucial with this wood. I thought I had the diameters right the first time so I applied lacquer on the lathe, took it off, sanded the tip, ran it, and it sounded like shit. So I was advised to put it in my chuck and carefully sand it until it ran, that was a pain in the ass. Anyway, here's the finished product, and she sounds sweet!
