Im going to Hulu Live on August 10th. $45 month and you don't miss any sports at all. We're gonna upgrade our internet so all our devices can run. It'll save us over $40 a month and i wont wake up to a surprise of our cable bill being doubled out of the blue. Nothing but great reviews from a lot of people I know. Plus, we already have Roku sticks so we dont need those

I get it with kids Adam, that’s why I’m still hooked up. I don’t think internet could keep up with their games alone, plus it’s always going out all the time.

That's the playing the game. I'll cancel 2wks prior to the end of the 12months.

Sounds like your requirements differ from ours. I have 3 children, 7/6/3, and I enjoy sports. Netflix only and no sports is NOT going to work for us.

What's ure internet + Netflix total - $75?
Yep I think that's it maybe + tax. When I had cable if I didnt call yearly to complain it was averaging 180 with TWC alone

Adam, before doing anything crazy, I would check the specs on your wireless router first. I was starting to notice lagging on our home network the past few weeks. I called Amplex and worked with their tech support to do some troubleshooting. Finally I said heck with it and bought a new router this past weekend... One with much more speed and processing capabilities than our old one. Guess what... (knock on wood) Not a single issue since turning it on. Network is running like a top with 5-7 devices running on it.

Do you have Spectrum for your Internet Adam? I think their lowest plan is 60mb download speeds. No way you should be using all of that unless you have a ton of devices streaming at once in 4K or HD. I'm with Jim, may be an underlying problem elsewhere causing your issues.

We are using Spectrums supplied modem/wireless router and I have verified it has the latest firmware. They have verified speeds, etc.., I think we just have a shitty signal. They upgraded our pole to house line a few years back, the guy laughed and said man, we haven't used this cable type in over 5yrs.

Again, we are saving $10/month going back to Spectrum for cable. I also would have to buy another $40-50 firestick even if the internet was consistent.

We've "cut the cord" over two years ago or better.

Been streaming everything no matter what I care to watch, including what's playing at the movie theaters today, and of course, most any kind of live event 'TOO'.

Both the wife & I mainly work from home nowadays.

No cable TV, no TV antennas, no satellite of any kind, just our Spectrum Business Internet Service.

We've had them all at one time or another over the years.

Never did like any of them.

Over four years ago, I installed two Routers along with two Access-Points to cover my entire property.

Today, everything connects to our secure network via wireless no matter where any of the devices are on our eight acre country property, including if located within any of the five separate buildings we have.

I also can connect to our network from a few of my hunting locations, approximately 250-350 yards away from our closest AP.

Currently, I have three 'S.M.A.R.T.' HD Televisions, two 'Amazon FireSticks', four Laptops, three NotePads, three Cell Phones, two Network HD Digital High-Output Stereo/Theater Systems and one Home/Business Digital Phone that are always connected.

Both the wife & I are heavy network data users during the day for work.

Neither one of us have any real social media presence of any kind to speak of. I just have my e-mail & 'YouTube' accounts.

Never have we experienced any slow transaction times nor lag times pertaining to any type of streaming content.

The only time we've had any kind of issue is when our service provider had one, which rarely happens.

And Oh Yeah,,,

I also have one large generator connected to an auto-transfer switch off the main distribution panel that handles everything on the property, including our security lighting.

I did all of that myself shortly after we moved in nearly seven years ago.

Getting rid of cable TV was one of the best decisions we've made in my humble opinion.

Adam, google search "speed test" and run it. My Amplex internet package is only 12 megabyt/sec and I'm running streaming services with no issues. I typically get 6-8 mb/sec when running through the 2.4 GHz wifi band. Part of your problem could be the firesticks themselves too. Some streaming services have better processors than others... A shitty processor will result in laggy frustrating bullshit, regardless of your internet speed. Spectrum tech should be able to tell you over the phone what is the quality of your signal.

Missing out on College Football and Basketball is the only reason I havent gone strictly to Firestick/Netflix. I have both, but still need cable for live sports.

PlayStation Vue is what we used for local/live TV. Always got NASCAR, OSU and Indians.

We made the switch back to Spectrum for cable 2wks ago. Weird making the switch but the bill is cheaper and I have more channels. I'll play their game.

Now get ready for the daily mailings of offers for internet tv and regular cable packages. I swear if these idiots would stop sending us offers and just give the shit away they would all be ahead.
