I was about to give an update on my Hulu Live experience the other day, so here goes. Yeah, it goes to figure the price got bumped up...$ 5 bucks since we signed on.... the bastards will fuck you whenever they can. With that said, it's still much cheaper than beforehand. We use our daughter's account for Netflix. I just recently bought a bigger tv, a Roku tv for another room & am so happy I went this rout. I've watched more than I ever have before it seems. There's just so much to offer & I get all the local channels as well. I like the murder investigative series, & there's no shortage of that. Too bad you can't fast forward thru the commercials like I use to would be my only gripe.

I recommend this website ( https://troypoint.com/ ) if you're truly interested in getting latest configuration methods to supercharge your SmartTV and/or TVFirestick.

After following the simple 'easy to do' instructions, you'll be able to get complete access to almost anything available that is streamed on the internet today absolutely free. The latest movies in the theaters, most any TV show, Live sports, current news and much more.

First however, I strongly recommend that you purchase and install a good VPN application onto your device should you choose to go this route. A Virtual Private Network - VPN application running first on your device will make you completely anonymous so that your internet provider and possible the government won't be able to track your activity while on the internet, streaming whatever it is you wish to watch within the comfort of your home.

If you do this, then also subscribe to the Troypoint website so you'll continue to get the latest news, information and methods to stay current with your device configuration.

You can thank me later if you haven't done any of this already.

Carry on!

Fuckin Hulu live just bumped up to $55 per month. I’m about to cancel that shit too and go back to Sling when baseball season starts back up. My wife loves Hulu, or it’d already be gone. I hardly watch TV anymore.

We just use Prime, Netflix and Youtube. During football season I subscribe to Sling on a month to month and cancel every month and sign up for a new promotional deal under a new email address. Usually only have to do it three times.

That’s where I’m about to be. I stand corrected... my Hulu bill is now up to $59 a month, not fifty five. I hardly watch any TV so this is extremely irritating.

I think we have been off cable for over a year now maybe close to 2. I'm not a big sports fan so I hardly noticed. I do miss watching OSU. Also miss out on gold rush and moon shiners. Werent too many other shows I was big on. We are down to cable internet, Netflix, hulu and amazon.

Currently watching the movie - Terminator: Dark Fate using the configuration method & application mentioned in my previous post.

It's NOT costing me a penny!

If I were to use 'Amazon' or any other provider, it would cost me money to download or rent to watch the movie.

The viewing quality is in full digital 1080 HD on my 60" Smart TV and I have to tell you, the movie is pretty damn good!

Here's a short clip taken just moments ago from my cellphone in full Dolby-Digital 11/1 theater surround sound speaker system.

this may have already come up in this thread, but I have not followed any of it. we're on the verge of doing something else besides DirecTV. I'm a complete hardtard, so this is a bit challenging for me. I've noticed that with my crappy DSL internet service from Centurylink, sometime we cannot even stream a movie from Amazon because it's so slow. I have smart tv's and a firestick, but I'm afraid that streaming everything will be a problem for me, at least occasionally, because of the lousy DSL service. Am I correct in being concerned about that?

I've had Directv for ten years us. I cancelled with them last August after my recent contract expired. Told them i was going with Hulu. They called me back a handful of days later trying to retain me. I told them if they could beat $40 a month and me keep my current programming, I'd stay. After a few minutes, they came down to $38 a month. No contract

@Jamie

A good rule of thumb,,,

The faster the internet download speed, the better your internet streaming experience you'll have.

We have 100meg/sec download speed, which is usually more than what most would typically need for the occassional internet movie streaming experience.

We use Spectrum's broadband internet service only, which is nearly $70.00/month.

I run a business from home, so it's a tax write off.

Our home phones, multiple labtop computers, tablets, cellphones, music stereos, SmartTVs & Firesticks, all of them are connected to our personal private network/router simultaneously. Then our network connects to Spectrums router for internet service.

For an added piece of mind, our VPN subscription is something like $35:00/yr., which does maintain our privacy while anonymously browsing the internet. It also better protects our personal network from any pesky viruses, malware, unwanted advertisements and so on.

We also are Netflex & Amazom Prime subscribers as well as an added convenience, but we never purchase/rent movies, music, tv shows or any else through them really.

All the paid preview live events I typically watch or latest made theater movies are always acquired through the method mentioned in post #183 within this thread, which cost nothing other than a little bit of my time to do the intial one time configuration on my android TVFirestick device.

do you have HD service, Whole home DVR (Genie), etc.? our DirecTV is bundled with our internet and phone service, and the whole lot of it costs a little over $200 a month. I don't think I can simply pay more money for faster internet service where I live, but I'm not really sure about that.

Trying to do this, what choices did you download? All of them or what? I also see they have instructions to watch the Super Bowl live.

I'm getting ready to head out the door, but yes it wouldn't hurt to install all of them.

Then 'Google' search how to install the "LiveNetTV" app onto your FireTV device and you'll be able to watch the entire game live.

If that doesn't workout for you, you can also get it if you have a laptop, tablet or whatever else that has a 'Google' browser and 'Chromecast' this link (https://ustv247.tv/watch-fox-channel-live-stream/ ) to any SmartTV and also watch it for free.

I strongly recommend that you first install a VPN onto your devices though, just so that your internet provider doesn't shut you down in the middle of the game.

I'll be unavailable for the rest of day parting with friends and watching the game later on.

Good Luck to ya!

A few months into this and I find myself watching much less TV. My internet sucks and it just pisses me off to have it buffer or go blurry all the time. Zero chance on getting my boys off games for me to watch TV, so I just sit and stare at a black screen. Really terrible trying to watch NASCAR so I’ll have to figure something out come football season. Because this just isn’t going to work.

Is the gaming causing the buffering?

That router I spoke to you about can probably do QOS (Quality Of Service) you can give higher priority to specific devices like the TV and lower priority to phone and game consoles. Console and computer games are huge bandwidth hogs.
