Giles and I snooped around a property today. We saw fewer deer than I expected but it was a good time. I think right now is probably about as difficult as it will get to find deer do to foliage and deer starting to feed on acorns. Just theory of course.
Is the last one a six point? If so was Dave humping your leg when he saw it? 😂

I can't stop thinking about all the foliage coming off. I am really looking forward to seeing the balance on the land. I think people will start hunting coons again because of these things. I see coons being a major problem if baiting stops. All them damn things are gonna be in everything trying to stay alive.

The coons aren't going to remember how to hunt once baiting becomes illegal! The free corn piles on every 5 acre property has bred it out of them.

No thermal capabilities and not likely to recover any dead deer, but definitely intended to take some cool pics/videos of my activities at the farm. I've been kicking this around for a good while and this thread threw gas on a smoldering ember. I used up some birthday cash and card points to buy this after some research. Couldn't bring myself to spend 2x on a DJI as my first drone, especially as a hobby. I mostly want good imagery and this will deliver that. Looking forward to documenting Strouds with it, too.

I just picked up one…DJI mini 3 pro. I am blown away. This technology is unreal. Plus the drone, battery charger and controller fit into a case you’d have for binoculars or something. Can’t wait till the leaves drop.
