Dangit! I'm sorry Trip. As if 2020 hasn't thrown enough curve balls our way. . . .now you have to deal with one of life's most unfair curses. The short life span our best friends provide. Hang in there.

Headed home to be with momma. She needs my support right now. She didn’t want me to come home saying it would ruin my trip. Fuck a deer! Bringing pearl w me so she can have our other only dog now to help this pass.
Your trip was done as soon as you got word. Just the packing and driving too get outta the way. You’re a good man, Nicky....

Not looking forward too the day the little asshole is not around anymore. He’s a pain in the ass, grumpy and a one person dog. But he and Bristol are buds and he’s my wife’s shadow. It’ll happen eventually, just going too be a bad time....

Hows the Mrs doing, Nicky?

We hanging on n there. Having pearl eases the pain of loss tremendously. Time heals everything. I’m going to camp tonight and leaving Pearl home. Duck season opens back up Saturday but we deer hunting so it’s best to leave her to help the process. Thanks for asking J. The older I get the harder it is on me losing a loved one.

Well we have a new addition, welcome home Sadie. My cousin down in Ohio had puppies they were trying to get rid of and had one left, mix between a Heeler and Sheltie. Man she is a smart dog already, definitely knows what 'NO' means and so far has had only a couple accidents in the house. Taking her for a walk she sniffs everything so she now has antlers lying around and who knows, I just ordered a deer tracking dog book. Might as well give it a try anyway.

Sad part is as we get older, we lose that many more. Lost my last 2beagles in a two year span. Then lost my buddy who I’d been rabbit hunting with for 30+ years, just after that. Took the wind right outta the sails.... Now I have no ambition too even get another... Sometimes it’s best too just move on....

Kids wanted to put a sweatshirt on the dog just to see if they could. Couple of dorks. (Just like their dad.) They did accomplish their goal. Said he looked like a gangsta. Lol
