It had happened to moonshine one time 3-4 years ago. He was walking around with the vent hanging. So ever since then he no longer wears the collar unless he goes outside or for a walk.
Cool morning + hog dog = steamy photo op
Decided to get up early and take Blitz on a road trip with me. We hit a couple potential woodcock spots on the way to run some errands. We found some woodducks instead and he was mad I didn’t shoot.
Blitz and I paddled around this morning. Well, I paddled the most and he did some swimming. We should both sleep well tonight.

Pearl loves going to the camp and truck rides w her pops
Wife has been out of town since last Wednesday. Otis has always been "my dog" in "my mind." I've learned the last few days he may be more attached to my wife than I realized. Little turd has been all mopey. Lol. He may have gotten a dump truck ride and other extra attention. He knows the ladies at the bank have treats for him. He may have gotten a bit drooly. 
He even looked sad in the pics. Poor boy.

We went too our grandson’s first bday party down in SC today. Left the house around 11:00. Arrived back home around 7:30. Buddy of mine came over and spent an hour with the knuckleheads. He walked into the house and no dogs met him. Very strange as they usually go bat shit crazy whenever somebody shows up. They were hunkered down in my bedroom closet. Not the wife’s closet but mine. Had my backpack pulled out and laying on it.
Acted like I put them in place and they wouldn’t move from the closet with a treat offering. Strange too say the least. This is a first for this kind of behavior for either of them.

Good day to be a dog. Just like yesterday, the day before, and the upcoming days.
I sat down on his level because he was needy yesterday. He took it as an invite to give kisses. My daughter took some pics. Thankfully, his "kisses" are more like sniffs. Not slobbery tongue kisses. Lol
And then you get the lazy Otis who just loves basking in the sun. He did come from the south. . . .got a little bit of slow side to him. He doesn't get in a hurry.

He had been very neglected. Got him at 51#. Slowly took him to 71#. Now probably 73-75#. Amazing how 3-5# makes him look like a blimp. I work hard to keep the weight off him. My wife slips him snacks. I did give him 3 pieces of popcorn tonight. Lol
