I just got home to see him in our house. He’s just what I wanted, dude don’t care. No jumping on me, biting or licking. Just came up to smell me, got his pets and let me walk away to eat. Laid down behind my chair and went to sleep.

Dude he’s just a puppy. Wait till he gets older.

I introduced one raw hide to all 3 dogs this morning. Only took 5 minutes before I had to throw a whoppin' on Lulu after breaking up a fight. 😅 That's the only aggression she's shown all week, which is to be expected and it created a great training opportunity. She's a quick learner and will share better next time. Other than that, she's been great. The pups have stayed home alone with her for a couple days. They spent 9 hours in the backyard together on Thursday and other than one of the liking to shut on the deck, no issues there either. Both made it all week without shitting in the kennel overnight, including 10 hours last night. Very little trouble with pissing in there either, which is a huge contrast to Remi who pissed and shit in his kennel, then rolled in it, for months.

The pups have 2 very different personalities. Gunnar is already sitting on command and listens very well when told to "come/go". He's very chill and a bit of a loner. Bailey is hyper, doesn't listen and is very loving. That said, I still think she may be the better hunter naturally. Time will tell on that end. Still another 2-3 weeks of basic obedience and learning the daily ops of living here before I introduce hunting stuff.

And as far as having two puppies at once, it really isn't much different. Sure, it's a bit more work, but it comes with it's advantages too. Don't really regret it at this point. 👍

I don’t want to run this thread sideways, so I’ll change the subject.

Jesse, you bringing the pups next weekend? We’ll have ours with us and Reese. Be cool to see the difference in size and attitudes. I think they’re only 2 weeks apart in age.

That’s my buddy working his dog on a blind retrieve. Pearl is chilling on the trailer. She did good and her nerves well. Tomorrow we will run land while it’s cooler in morning.

I know that you live in gator country....do you ever have trouble with them while training your dogs? Do you carry a rifle in case one pursues your dog in the water?

Yes there are gators. Where I know there is gators we don’t use. Most of my places are close to subdivisions so no rifles.

Took Bella to the vet today, she is exactly 12 weeks old and weighs 27.3 pounds, gonna be a big girl. She loves people and is hyper when we are gone from her. When she is around us she is amazingly claim, took her to a soccer game, then to eat, we sit outside and she napped under the table while we ate. Learning to sit and stay, so far a great dog. Only downside is mama is letting her sleep in the bed, so now 2 dogs in the bed, gonna have to get a queen sized bed.

Ok here is something a little off topic but still good info.

What medicine you giving your do for fleas, ticks and heart worms?

Pearl gets bravacto chewable for fleas and ticks. You will need a prescription from the vet if you order online. Haven’t seen a flea or tick on her since giving her this Med. Last for 12 weeks between treatments. I also buy ivermec from the feed store and give it to her by mouth. Not straight but on a slice of bread as straight could hurt the mouth and throat. If you decide to use this make sure you get the correct dosage for your dogs weight. It cost 35$ to 45$ a bottle and you will never use it all before the expire date. Unless you have a very large pack of dogs.
