Doggone good dog thread

One of our dogs had low red blood cell count at the last vet checkup so we took her back for another test and it also showed low red blood cells. They then did an ultrasound and called us this afternoon to tell us they found a mass on one of the lobes on her liver. Tomorrow we are taking her to a specialists for a consult and if they can fit her in the same day, a CT scan. After that, I’m guessing surgery and biopsy. I’m hoping it’s not cancer. At least we caught it early with her annual vet check up….shes not showing any signs so far…so that’s good.

She loves hunting shows TOO.

The vet said she’s a good candidate for surgery and there’s a 90% chance she will be fine. Only risk is surgery complications. They will biopsy the growth to determine if it’s cancer or not. She’s scheduled for Friday and they will keep her overnight. She’ll come home Saturday.
Sounds very promising. Hopefully all goes well!!!!!
