First Annual TOO Group Deer hunt.

My truck is looking about the same. I haven't even packed the smokers or fish-frying gear ... or fish, in yet! Good grief.
 
I am just about ready to head home and start loading the jeep. I figured today would be a pain in the ass as far as work goes but I am getting off early. I am so excited I am giddy.

I've been packing TOO! I'm bringing:
Case of beer(12 of Budlight,12 of Yen Trad)
Bow,gear and clothes
smoker
McKenzie block target
sleeping bag and pillow
chair for campfire
seat for the blind
large cast iron skillet,two grilling hamburg holders for flipping doodads(use them for chicken and backstraps)
butane lighter,funnel
lantern alittle extra white gas,2 extra 1 lb. propand tanks if somebody needs them
blind
5 person tent if somebody needs it
hammer and machete
5lbs of taters and 2 sweet onions
marinated backstrap slices
boneless/skinless chicken thighs marinated in my hotsause with extra HS
tater peeler,paring knife,basting brush,long tongs for campfire grub,potholder
small cherry pie,breakfast rolls,hamburg buns
four pack of butter sticks
paper plates,plasticware
one large heavyduty trashbag

I think that's it!lol

Get 25 minutes in of driving and realize I had forgotten both quivers, turn around. I get an hours worth of driving back in and my wife says she can't find her keys (I parked her van in the barn). She has been looking since I left. Will I stop and wait the verdict. Told here where the should be. Drive 20 minutes back towards home and call her with a few otherbplaces to look and they were in the first place I told her to look!

Get me a beer!

hehe. It's nuts how much crap we pack for lil trips like this. I'm trying to figure where I am gonna put the fryer/oil and thinking dang, I bet there is a Long John Silver in Athens!:)
 
Dang Beener, that sucks buddy! I haven't even began to pack anything up yet. Figure in between hunts tomorrow, I will throw some stuff together.
 
You fuggars have a good time tonight! I'll put in my last 10 hours of work for the week and try and sleep some before heading that way in the morning. Decided to take AH 32 all the way to Athens. It'll take me nearly hour just to get to the bitch first. Then smooth sail in' from there! See ya tomorrow!
 
If y'all need anything let me know, I'll be heading down @ first light..... Figure abot 2.5-3.0 hrs drive time..... Not counting getting lost..... :smiley_coolpeace:
 
Oh, my beers been on ice since 1 this afternoon and in the garage. It'll only take me a few minutes to pack what I got ready before I leave. WhooHoo!:pickle:
 
I'm suffering through my last evening here at the pizza joint. Thursday are a bear too...we have the local group of gossipping broads in here every Thursday night. We do hear the latest gossip though...don't even need a newspaper on Friday. :) We should make Thursday "topless" night here. A couple would be OK with that...
