You bump your head on the squat rack again? Nothing against Rich but he probably isn't going to be much help if he already told you how bad the drag is. Better hope he has some youthful contacts full of piss and vinegar to help you.

Ha... Let's hope he has ground shrinkage if he does get one down in there.. This bear pictured is gonna be a big bear in a few years... Look at the size of his head... Looks mean too... This week I'll bait the 7 spots on Wed. Then we'll add to the mix Sun. when I show them around.. Let the big boy carry in 100 lbs of corn, I'm tired... But it's funny they usually eat all the corn in a sitting or two., This year not so much.... This Wed. I'll up their diet to donuts and chocolate cakes ( I baked 10 on Fri. )..Also cleaned out freezer and found 3 packages of chicken thighs that were over 2 years old, so cooked them up....Getting close to game time....

Getting close boys... 2 more days and you'll be heading East... Here's a decent bear on my cousins camera yesterday..... Weather is looking good with temps dropping down somewhat....

Ok... Went this afternoon to check out 2 new spots I baited Sat. for the first time... One was a spot I had several bears on the cam this spring and another down the road that has easy access I figured would be good for Dan since it's a hillside bordering a swamp, therefore it would be a good spot to sit on the ground...First site, bait wasn't hit at all... Second site for Dan bait was hammered... Alot of night pics, but there were a fair amount of daytime pics too... I think this might be a good spot for Dan to start.... However it's about 40 miles from the hell hole where Jon will hunt.... Their hotel is about midway... Tod Jon he could just use my truck as I'm not hunting till maybe Fri... Just not in the mood... Here's a few pics to get you excited Dan...

That one pic that has what looks like a leaf on his ass is a long bear and I'm guessing is around 300 lbs... He's shown up numerous times since Sat.

With the hard work Rich has put in for us, I think Dan and I will both have real opportunities at harvesting nice bears.

Ok... Today was the last camera check on 4 different spots before the boys arrive Sat... Glad to report that all spots were hammered and each spot had a respectable bear or two on them... I've put them in the general area where there are numerous bears... Legality wise they must position themselves 100 yds from the bait... Hopefully spots I picked near swamps and laurel thickets we will be able to intercept them as they leave or return to their bedding areas while being 100+ yds from any bait... Hopefully they are having sleepless nights anticipating their arrival... Here are a few pics from today...
That is one goofy law. You can bait but you cannot hunt within 100 yards. Guess downwind of the bait pile is a good start??

I guess it's about giving in a little to the anti hunting idiots... Thurs. Fri. Sat. they can use their muzzle loader which will even things out a little.. Hey they should have a good time and that's what counts...
