We all know that nothing comes free.
I spend a lot of my spare time through out the summer, in the garden. Lol. Not that I have much free time, with working out of town. It does take nurturing and hard work to keep your garden in great shape. The rewards are so gratifying, especially when your family enjoys them through out the year to come.

I got my straw bales planted tonight, now that they have seasoned for 8 days. I still have to stake the tomatoes. I'm sure hoping this works as well as claimed!

First is the girls first garden. Baby watermelons, cantaloupe, tomatoes, and mammoth sunflowers. This one got in kinda late:

Raised bed with tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini:

Raised bed #2 with jalapenos, red peppers, green peppers, anaheim peppers and eggplant:

I will post pics of the big gardens as soon as I remember to do so :/

Looks good Beener, also looking forward to seeing the big gardens. Big gardens remind me of my grandads garden it was always huge. I picked my first cucumber tonight and did a little more training if my cucumber vines.

Looking great guys!

Out maters have a lot of growth and many green maters but nothing looks close to being picked. I've suckered the shit out of my 12 plants and the suckers are still kicking my ass! Can't hardly keep up with them!!!

My banana and jalapeño peppers are kicking ass though! Picked a few of each last week for some omelets I made for breakfast.:pickle:

Nice gardens Charles and Don.

Your right on the zucchinis Beener. I always plant way to many. All a guy really needs is 2.

Thanks Ron.

My tomatoes are the same way Ric. Growing like crazy but nothing close to being ready to pick. I keep picking the suckers off mine too but I pick one off and turn around and there's two more. I was poking them in the wife's flower beds and window boxes and they would take right off, until she saw them. Once she saw them that was the end of the sucker/tomato plant. She said " window boxes and flower beds are for flowers, only!" Haha

Looking good guys! I need to take pictures of ours but I haven't even had time to look at it lately. Good thing we have had plenty of rain. I sure haven't watered it.

I have one of the upside down tomato planters. The timing of our move to our new house pretty much sink the garden this year. Next year I will be planting a lot more.
